Building with AI

This is where I build scrappy things with AI tools, learn in public, and have a little fun along the way. While my case studies reflect my design process at its most deliberate, this space is where I move fast and experiment (including the good, the bad, and the ugly).

Today for my map-based job posts project (I'll have to name it soon for easier reference 🤔), Claude Code helped me:

- Introduce Tailwind CSS v4 across the full project
- Hook up HeroUI and migrate existing UI componentry to HeroUI components instead

Claude Code got the Google Places API swapped in for Nominatim, and geocoding accuracy is now noticeably better.

Also added BART stations alongside Caltrain (BART pins are purple, Caltrain blue). One quirk I still need to iron out: even when I specify a city like "San Francisco,… pic.twitter.com/e1YEbofx0v

Your commute is an underrated part of your job hunt.

A few friends recently mentioned to me how frustrating it is to try finding roles near public transit. You find a promising listing, then have to manually look up where the office actually is. Repeat for every role.
